ABOUT PEAKS OF ADVENTURE
Peaks of Adventure is owned and managed by Aiden Lumb, a local outdoor instructor whose professional qualifications to date include (but are not limited to!): Hill & Moorland Leader, Rock Climbing Instructor, NNAS Navigation Tutor and Vertical Cave & Mine Leader. From childhood Aiden has had a true love for the outdoors (and the underground!) and after leaving college and working for several years in the outdoor education/activity industry, he founded his own small business to provide high quality instruction for the activities he is most passionate about, alongside his work as an outdoor activity instructor. He spends much of his free time exploring caves and mines, urbexing, hiking and rock climbing!
“Growing up on the edge of the Derbyshire Peak District, my love for the outdoors started at a young age. This passion naturally evolved into a career as an outdoor instructor, allowing me to share my excitement for the hills, crags, and caves that I’ve always loved.
“My journey as an instructor has taken me to some truly amazing places, both above and below ground. From navigating wild landscapes to exploring hidden caves, every experience fuels my drive to connect people with the natural world.
“After founding my own business, I now have the joy of guiding others through the landscapes and activities that I am most passionate about. As a fully qualified Hill & Moorland Leader, Navigation Tutor, Rock Climbing Instructor, and Vertical Cave & Mine Leader, I offer a wide range of authentic outdoor experiences that cater to all skill levels.
“When I’m not leading adventures, I work as a freelance outdoor instructor, delivering activities at outdoor centres for the public, young people, and charity groups. Whether it’s hiking, rock climbing, or cave exploration, I’m always eager to share my knowledge and skills with others.
In my free time, you’ll often find me with friends exploring caves, hiking, rock climbing, and even urbexing—because my love for adventure never stops!“
